Direct Counsel is seeking an experienced Senior Arbitration Associate to join a growing plaintiff-side employment practice focused on mass arbitrations involving wage and hour claims . This is a remote opportunity for a litigator with strong California employment law experience who thrives in high-volume arbitration matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle mass employment arbitrations , primarily involving wage and hour claims.
• Develop strategy involving the California Labor Code, PAGA, wrongful termination, and retaliation .
• Manage matters through discovery, briefing, arbitration preparation, settlement, and final hearings .
• Draft and review arbitration demands, motions, discovery responses, and settlement agreements.
• Navigate AAA and JAMS mass and batch arbitration protocols .
• Evaluate damages and develop strategies to maximize client outcomes.
• Develop efficient workflows and systems for large-scale arbitration caseloads.
• Collaborate with intake, pre-litigation, and operations teams.
• Handle complex and high-value matters and represent clients at arbitration hearings as needed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of employment law experience .
• Significant experience with wage and hour class actions, PAGA, and arbitration matters .
• Strong knowledge of the California Labor Code .
• Hands-on experience managing high-volume or mass arbitrations from intake through resolution .
• Strong knowledge of AAA and JAMS arbitration rules and protocols .
• Excellent writing, advocacy, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Experience leading legal teams or managing junior attorneys preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

$170,000–$300,000 + Bonus

Remote | Full-Time
