Employment Litigation Attorney

A well-established, full-service law firm is seeking a California-licensed Employment Litigation Attorney with approximately 2–10 years of experience to join its growing Labor & Employment practice. The group represents employers across a wide range of industries and advises clients on the full spectrum of workplace issues, including day-to-day counseling, pre-litigation matters, and litigation ranging from individual claims to complex class and representative actions.

The firm maintains long-term client relationships and frequently serves as outside employment counsel, providing strategic legal advice and litigation support to businesses of all sizes. The Role

This position offers the opportunity to work directly with clients and manage sophisticated employment matters from pre-litigation through resolution. Because the firm represents clients directly rather than through insurance carriers, attorneys are able to build strong client relationships, work on fewer but more substantive matters, and gain significant responsibility early in their careers. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have experience handling California employment law matters, including some combination of:

• Employment litigation in state and/or federal court
• Pre-litigation employment disputes
• Single-plaintiff employment matters
• Wage and hour litigation
• Class and representative actions (including PAGA)
• Harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and related employment claims

Candidates with prior employment litigation experience gained through a law firm, judicial clerkship, or in-house legal department are encouraged to apply. Newly licensed attorneys with substantial employment law experience during law school will also be considered. Desired Experience

Candidates should be comfortable with many of the following:

• Drafting pleadings and responsive pleadings
• Preparing and responding to written discovery
• Motion practice, including dispositive motions
• Preparing for and participating in depositions
• Mediation and arbitration preparation
• Trial preparation, including drafting trial-related filings
• Legal research and analytical writing

Experience with mediations and arbitrations is beneficial but not required. What We're Looking For

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $165,000–$205,000, depending on experience
