Freelance Italian Interpreter (Community Setting)

Italian Interpreter Opportunity
We are seeking a reliable and professional Italian Interpreter for community-based assignments in and around the Ridgewood, NJ area. This is a freelance (independent contractor) opportunity ideal for individuals who are fluent in Italian and English and enjoy supporting diverse communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide accurate, in-person Italian interpretation in community settings (e.g., social services, or local appointments)
- Facilitate clear communication between Italian-speaking clients and English-speaking providers
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics standards
- Arrive on time and be prepared for scheduled assignments
Qualifications
- Fluency in Italian and English (spoken and comprehension required)
- Prior interpretation experience preferred (community, medical, or social services settings a plus)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally
- Professional demeanor and dependability
