Merchant Optimization Specialist

Credit Key

Credit Key works best when buyers see it early, clearly, and consistently - on product pages, in the cart, and at checkout. The Merchant Optimization Specialist owns that experience across our entire merchant portfolio. You'll continuously audit how every partner merchant displays and presents Credit Key to their customers, identify gaps and missed opportunities, and - most importantly - work directly with merchants to get improvements implemented. This is not a strategy-only role. You'll partner closely with our Marketing team and Account Managers, but you are the person responsible for turning findings into live changes on merchant sites. This role sits within Client Success and reports to the VP of Client Success. What You'll Do Audit & Identify Conduct ongoing, systematic audits of Credit Key's presentment across all partner merchant sites, with a focus on product detail pages, cart pages, and checkout flows Benchmark each merchant against Credit Key's presentment best practices: messaging placement, financing callouts, monthly payment displays, promotional banners, and checkout positioning Maintain a portfolio-wide scorecard tracking presentment quality, gaps, and optimization status by merchant Identify patterns across the portfolio - common gaps by platform (Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento, custom builds), vertical, or merchant size - and feed insights back to Marketing and Product Action & Implement Own outreach to merchants on identified gaps, building the business case for changes using conversion and AOV data Work directly with merchant marketing, e-commerce, and dev teams to implement improvements - providing copy, assets, placement specs, and implementation guidance Manage optimization projects end-to-end: from initial recommendation through merchant buy-in, implementation, QA, and post-launch measurement Coordinate with Account Managers on merchant relationships and with Marketing on messaging, A/B testing, and creative assets Measure & Improve Track the impact of presentment improvements on Credit Key adoption, conversion lift, and average order value Build and refine the presentment playbook: documented best practices by platform and merchant type Report regularly on portfolio presentment health and optimization pipeline What You'll Bring 3+ years in e-commerce, merchant success, account management, partner marketing, or conversion rate optimization - ideally in payments, fintech, or BNPL Strong working knowledge of e-commerce platforms (Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento/Adobe Commerce, WooCommerce) and how on-site merchandising and checkout flows work Demonstrated ability to drive action with external partners - you're comfortable being persistent, building a business case, and following through until changes are live Analytical fluency: you can use conversion and adoption data to prioritize work and prove impact Excellent written and verbal communication; you'll be talking to merchant stakeholders ranging from marketing coordinators to developers to owners Detail-oriented and process-driven - you'll be managing many concurrent merchant workstreams Bonus: familiarity with B2B commerce, trade credit/net terms, basic HTML/CSS, or A/B testing tools What Success Looks Like Every active merchant has been audited and scored within your first 90 days A growing share of the portfolio meets Credit Key presentment best-practice standards quarter over quarter Measurable lift in Credit Key adoption and share of checkout at merchants where optimizations went live Why Credit Key Competitive compensation + equity Great healthcare benefits PTO 401k Match Supportive, low ego, highly collaborative team environment Work from home stipend #J-18808-Ljbffr Credit Key
