This position is critical for providing high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced intensive care unit. Shift Details Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Weekend: Rotating Call Requirements: None Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Unit Specifics The ICU unit adapts assignments based on acuity and skills, ensuring our team meets the needs of our patients effectively. Equipment Used All ICU equipment including ventilators NXStage Arctic Sun GE Cardiac Output monitor Documentation The documentation system utilized is Meditech. Floating Policy Nurses may be required to float to other units as needed. Certifications CCRN certification preferred Qualifications Must-Have Skills A minimum of 2 years of hospital experience Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification Preferred Skills Experience with Meditech documentation system Required Certifications Active Texas RN license (temporary licenses will not be accepted) Procedures Performed Central line placements Bedside procedures such as thoracentesis and dialysis catheter placements Cardioversion and intubation All other ICU procedures Dress Code Scrub Color: Royal Blue Nail Policy: Clean and healthy, no artificial nails, gel, or next-gen nails. Hair: Should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors. Hair must be pulled back if shoulder length or longer. Tattoos: Body art should be covered whenever possible.
