Day Surgery Charge RN

HCA Florida Woodmont Hospital is seeking an experienced Day Surgery Charge RN to provide clinical and operational leadership within its surgical services department. This position will support safe, efficient patient care while coordinating daily surgical operations, staffing, and patient flow.

Key responsibilities include:

• Provide clinical leadership and oversight for day surgery/perioperative services.
• Coordinate daily staffing, assignments, patient flow, and surgical schedules.
• Support efficient patient flow through Pre-Op, OR, and PACU/Post-Op areas.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nursing staff, and other departments.
• Promote patient safety, quality care, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance.
• Support staff orientation, education, competency development, and performance initiatives.
• Assist with resolving operational and clinical issues and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Ensure patients are appropriately prepared and surgical areas are ready for scheduled procedures.
• Support compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements.
• Promote effective communication and a patient-centered approach throughout the surgical experience.

Qualifications include:

• Current, active Florida RN license.
• Experience in perioperative, surgical services, or day surgery.
• Experience in Pre-Op, OR/Circulating, and/or PACU nursing.
• Previous Charge RN, clinical leadership, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of perioperative patient care, surgical workflow, and patient safety.
• BLS required.
• ACLS, PALS, and CNOR preferred, as applicable.
