About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Postpartum Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years experience required in high acuity postpartum care License: Compact license required Certifications: BLS, NRP required Must-Have: - High-risk obstetric care experience - Experience with magnesium sulfate therapy - Proficiency in EPIC charting system Description: Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years experience with high acuity postpartum patients. They should be capable of managing a census surge and handling a 4th couplet. Candidates must float between multiple campuses, including postpartum and labor and delivery for the second hour of recovery. This role requires the management of postpartum treatment following delivery and care for high-risk obstetric patients. Experience with postpartum hemorrhage and substance withdrawal is required. Candidates must be prepared to work weekends, with 6 weekend days expected during the contract. Float experience is essential as this role includes working at different locations. Candidates will be part of a diverse patient population in a high-volume setting. Flexibility in scheduling is important, and all requests must be made upfront. Travel positions may require candidates to float to nearby facilities as necessary. Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment. Candidates must complete all training and compliance modules prior to starting the position.
