Job Title: Development Operations & Database Manager Under the supervision of the Chief Development Officer, the Development Operations & Database Manager is involved in all key functions of development operations and makes a significant contribution to achieving Oregon Ballet Theatre’s fundraising goals. This position works collaboratively with the Development team in overseeing annual giving campaigns, donor stewardship events and benefits, development communications, gift processing, and strategic utilization of the Tessitura CRM database. This role requires the ability to advise and provide effective recommendations and solutions to achieve overall fundraising goals. This is a pivotal position on the OBT Development team, working synchronously with staff, artists, executive leadership, and the Board of Directors while interacting closely with OBT donors and the public. The work related to this position directly supports Oregon Ballet Theatre’s mission and reflects the organization’s core values and highest ethical standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Serves as a thought leader while providing data driven analysis to supportrecommendations to further the organization’s development goals. Oversight of Tessitura CRM database to maximize accurate records, Developmentreports, management of donor and prospect lists. Create and maintain Development dashboard, with process improvementrecommendations to support the central data point for all donor analytics. Serves and takes initiative as main point of contact for major donors providing personalized donor cultivation and high-touch stewardship methods. Implements management plans within the Tessitura database in partnership with thefrontline fundraisers. Collaborates with the development team to support donor acquisition and conversion, re‑engagement of lapsed donors, growth of recurring, in‑kind, and matching gifts. Leads initiatives for personalized gift acknowledgement and stewardship plans incollaboration with Development Officers, Executive Leadership, Artists, Staff andBoard Members Demonstrates strong time management skills for, accurate gift processing andreconciliation in collaboration with Finance. Assists with fulfilling donor and sponsorship benefits and recognition in concert withthe Individual Giving Manager and the Chief Growth Officer, respectively. Demonstrates a high aptitude for teamwork within Development assisting with annualgala, donor stewardship, and event cultivation. Collaborate with Development team in prospective research while maintaining donorand event briefings. Manages various digital and print Development communications in partnership withMarketing, while recommending solutions for process improvement. Takes initiative to keep up to date on the newest database management and training todevelop new strategic opportunities for OBT. Maintains, monitors, and implements process improvements for general departmentoperations for the Development team. Assists with special projects and performs other related duties as required. Supervisory Responsibilities No supervisory responsibilities at this time. Education and/or Experience Associate’s degree focused on development, events, marketing and/or patron services, or equivalent time experience. Minimum 3 years’ experience in the following areas: Project management requiring strong organizational, analytical, and strategic thinking. Donor, patrons, and community stakeholders’ relationship building. Environment that required excellent written, verbal, and digital communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences including donors, volunteers, and community partners. Fundraising in a nonprofit environment. Working Conditions This role requires good physical health as the ability to lift at least 50 pounds in repetition is required. Work Schedule This is a full‑time position maxing out at 30 hours. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position regularly requires extended hours and weekend work with regular attendance in the theater during productions. Flexible scheduling of work hours is an option. Travel Travel is primarily local during the day, evenings, and weekends. Some out‑of‑area and overnight travel may be expected. Compensation This salaried position starts at $42,000–$48,000 annually, and provides full benefits, including employer‑paid medical, dental, vision, life insurance; and 25 days off annually (15 days PTO and 10 holidays). In addition, employees may elect and self‑fund the following benefits: 403(b) retirement plan 2% employer match beginning July 1st, 2026); short‑term and/or long‑term disability insurance; flexible spending account for health‑related expenses and/or childcare; and additional life insurance.
