Position Summary Title: Glass and Glazing Operations Manager Location: PCI Portland 553, Portland, OR Responsibilities Manage the commercial glass and glazing operations business unit for the Pacific Northwest region. Initiate and maintain customer contact to secure and execute work profitably. Direct and manage construction activities of projects in the region to maximize margin results. Interpret and analyze contract documents, terms, specifications, clarifications, and requirements for each project. Manage job‑site personnel, maintaining effective relationships with owners, engineers, utilities, subcontractors, contractors, and unions. Implement the corporate loss‑control and claims‑management program for workers’ compensation. Analyze and monitor actual versus estimated costs to develop action plans for variances; ensure an effective job‑control system is used on each project. Solicit assistance from the estimating department to maximize bidding activity without compromising quality. Negotiate contract issues, variances, change orders, scope changes, claims, and other project issues as required. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in construction science, construction management, or equivalent work experience. 7‑10 years managing projects in the glass and glazing industry and 2‑3 years managing teams and processes. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Ability to read and understand specifications and drawings. Strong communication and self‑starter skills. Positive attitude, work ethic, and ability to work under pressure. Team‑player ability and willingness to learn new job skills. Clear understanding of safety needs specific to the glass and glazing industry. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, or a related discipline. Experience working with union representatives. OSHA certification. Local to Portland metro area is preferred but not required. Salary and Benefits Salary range: $143,200 – $191,000 per year plus a non‑guaranteed annualized bonus program. Benefits include: Competitive pay and incentive bonus plan.
