We are a private dental practice in Arlington looking for an experienced Patient & Insurance Coordinator to join our team.

We are a small, established practice with a friendly and professional environment. We see patients Monday through Thursday and do not have evening or weekend hours.

The person in this position will be responsible for the day-to-day front office and will work closely with the doctor and the rest of the team.

$25 - $30 hourly

• Answer phones and respond to patient messages

• Schedule and confirm appointments

• Check patients in and out

• Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits

• Review insurance plans and determine patient benefits and estimated out-of-pocket costs

• Prepare and submit pre-authorizations

• Follow up on pending pre-authorizations

• Submit dental insurance claims

• Review outstanding patient balances and insurance receivables

• Provide patients with treatment estimates and explain their insurance benefits

• Collect patient payments and follow up on outstanding balances

• Maintain accurate patient and insurance information

• Coordinate treatment plans and appointments with patients

• Keep the schedule organized

• Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and the dental team

• Help with general front-office duties as needed

What we are looking for

• MUST have previous dental front office experience

• Good understanding of dental insurance, claims, and EOBs

• Experience checking insurance eligibility and benefits

• Experience with dental pre-authorizations

• Comfortable reviewing treatment estimates and explaining insurance coverage to patients

• Experience following up on unpaid or denied insurance claims

• Dentrix experience is preferred

• Good computer skills

• Organized and detail-oriented

• Friendly and professional with patients

• Reliable and able to work independently

• Good communication skills

• Comfortable working in a small office where everyone works together
