Registered Nurse - Psychiatric

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive psychiatric nursing care to patients in a Geri-psych unit, supporting mental health recovery and stabilization. Works collaboratively with healthcare team members to deliver safe, compassionate, and effective treatment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patient mental and physical health status, documenting findings accurately.
• Administer medications and therapies in accordance with physician orders, following safety protocols.
• Implement therapeutic interventions and engage patients in evidence-based mental health treatment plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and adjust individualized care plans.
• Ensure adherence to unit policies, safety procedures, and clinical guidelines.
• Support patient discharge planning and provide education to patients and families.

Qualifications:

• Must have 1 year of current Behavioral Health experience.
• Hold BLS and CPI Certification, or Calm Every Storm Certification.
• Prefer candidates with strong inpatient Behavioral Health experience.
• Demonstrate flexibility, teamwork, and compassionate patient care skills.
• Ability to handle varied patient acuity levels and adapt to changing clinical needs.
