Litigation Associate

Job Overview Squire Patton Boggs is seeking a junior to mid‑level Litigation Associate for our Palo Alto office. Experience with healthcare/managed care litigation is a plus but not required. The primary responsibilities include drafting pleadings and motions, legal research, arguing hearings, managing discovery requests and responses, taking and defending depositions, and assisting with trial preparations and trial. Academic and Professional Qualifications 2-6 years of experience at a top‑tier firm and/or judicial clerkship Admission to the California Bar JD from an accredited law school with a strong academic record Knowledge, Skills & Experience Experience with healthcare/managed care litigation a plus, but not a requirement Significant and exceptional writing experience/skills Legal research, drafting, discovery, coordinating with local counsel, and defending against litigation Excellent research and organizational skills; strong verbal and written communication Courtroom and deposition experience preferred but not required More senior candidates must manage a commercial lawsuit from start to finish; junior candidates should have an exceptional academic record Self‑starter with ability to prioritize workload, good judgment, and work well under pressure Benefits Salary range: $235,000–$315,000 per year, dependent on skills and experience.
