A full time Controller is needed for a commercial lending company in Brooklyn. Must have 2–3+ years of accounting experience, strong knowledge of AR and AP, and the ability to manage day to day financial operations. Experience with commission tracking and loan servicing is a plus. In person role.

The Controller will oversee daily accounting operations within a commercial loans environment, ensuring accurate financial tracking, reporting, and organization of all transactions. This role includes managing Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, commissions, and maintaining clear records of broker activity and loan servicing.

The ideal candidate is detail oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast paced financial setting. Experience with AMB software or similar systems is preferred. This is a hands on role requiring strong ownership of the company's financial processes and day to day bookkeeping functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day to day accounting operations
• Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
• Track commissions and broker related financial activity
• Maintain accurate records of loans and servicing
• Ensure proper financial documentation and organization
• Work with internal teams to support financial processes
• Monitor transactions and resolve discrepancies

Qualifications:

• 2–3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience required
• Experience in commercial loans or financial services preferred
• Familiarity with AMB software a plus
• Strong understanding of AR, AP, and financial tracking
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work full time in office
