About the Role

The Company is seeking an Associate General Counsel to join their team. The successful candidate will be a key partner to leadership, providing strategic legal guidance in the areas of public benefits and healthcare services. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, advising on a range of legal matters including contracts, procurement, and policy development. The Associate General Counsel will also be involved in managing risk, supporting audits and compliance initiatives, and delivering practical legal solutions in a fast-paced, public sector environment. Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years' legal experience, with a strong background in administrative law, healthcare law, or public benefits. The role requires expertise in legal research, analysis, and writing, as well as experience in advising on compliance, audits, and risk mitigation strategies. The ideal candidate will have an active Arizona State Bar license and the ability to manage a high-volume, complex workload with competing priorities. Strong communication skills are essential for translating legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders. While not mandatory, experience with health and human services programs, government agencies, and exposure to related areas such as home and community-based services, administrative hearings, and public records laws is a plus.
