The environment is supportive, patient-focused, and dedicated to strengthening the human–animal bond. Role Description This full-time, on-site Associate Veterinarian role is based in San Antonio, TX. The Associate Veterinarian will perform examinations, diagnose and treat medical conditions, perform routine and advanced procedures, and provide preventive care such as vaccinations and wellness consultations. Daily responsibilities include reviewing diagnostic tests, creating treatment plans, prescribing medications, and maintaining accurate medical records. The role also involves educating clients on pet health, collaborating with veterinary technicians and support staff, and contributing to a positive, efficient hospital workflow. Occasional participation in staff meetings, training, and community outreach may be expected. Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) degree and current, or eligible, veterinary license in the state of Texas. Clinical skills in small animal medicine, surgery, and dentistry, including routine procedures and basic emergency care. Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and sound medical judgment. Effective communication and client education skills, including the ability to explain treatment options and preventive care clearly. Ability to work collaboratively with veterinary technicians and support staff, fostering a respectful and team-oriented environment. Comfort with medical record-keeping and use of veterinary practice management software and digital diagnostic tools. Commitment to ongoing professional development, adherence to ethical standards, and willingness to follow hospital protocols.
