The Opportunity We’re looking for a Sonny's BBQ Restaurant Team Lead who brings both leadership and heart to the table. In this role, you’ll guide your team through each shift, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while building a culture where team members feel supported, valued, and inspired to grow. What You’ll Do Perform opening/closing responsibilities for the store and assist the Management Team in overseeing store operations Lead shifts with energy, clarity, and a commitment to excellence in both service and operations Create a fun, engaging, and welcoming environment for guests and team members alike Model and reinforce iServ’s mission, values, and culture in every interaction Promotes a culture that inspires improvement; continually develops and mentors team members under his/her direction and is directly responsible for their success Support onboarding and training of new team members Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and operational standards are consistently met Communicate effectively with management on team performance and opportunities Jump in where needed—whether assisting guests, running POS, or supporting the kitchen What We’re Looking For Minimum 1 year prior full-serve restaurant leadership experience in a high-volume restaurant General understanding of all full-serve restaurant operations (front and back of house) as well as financial management Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences A natural leader who puts people first Someone who thrives in a team environment and leads by example Strong communicator with a positive, solutions-focused mindset Ability to stay organized and energized in a fast-paced setting Minimum 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license. As a Team Lead, you’ll work alongside the Management Team to help lead the restaurant during your shift. What You’ll Do Lead assigned shifts and help keep the restaurant running smoothly Perform opening and closing responsibilities as assigned Support the Management Team with daily restaurant operations Set the tone for the shift by leading with energy, consistency, and a positive attitude Coach, support, and develop team members throughout the shift Help onboard and train new team members Make sure guests receive friendly, timely, and consistent service Maintain expectations for food quality, food safety, cleanliness, and restaurant operations Help identify and resolve guest concerns Communicate team performance, concerns, and opportunities to restaurant management Reinforce iServ’s mission, values, and expectations through your own leadership Support both front of house and back of house operations as needed Operate the point of sale system and assist guests when needed Step in wherever needed to support the team and the needs of the restaurant Perform other responsibilities as assigned based on business needs What We’re Looking For At least one year of leadership experience in a high volume, full service restaurant Understanding of front of house and back of house restaurant operations General understanding of restaurant financial and operational performance Strong communication and people skills A leader who enjoys coaching and developing others Someone who is comfortable working alongside the team and leading by example A guest focused mindset and passion for hospitality Ability to stay organized, solve problems, and make sound decisions in a fast paced environment Dependable, positive, and team focused approach Flexible availability based on restaurant needs, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events Minimum 21 years of age Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Ability to meet company driver insurability requirements Ability to successfully complete required background screening and drug testing in accordance with applicable law What You’ll Receive Paid time off based on hours worked and eligibility 401(k) with employer match eligibility Medical, dental, and vision insurance for eligible team members with company contribution Company paid life insurance Team member food discounts Ongoing training and leadership development Opportunities to grow within iServ Team Chaplain support and iServ Cares resources Opportunities to serve and give back to the community What To Expect Restaurant leadership is active and hands on. Team Leads spend much of their shift on their feet and may be required to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, carry, and work in the different temperatures and conditions commonly found in restaurant operations. Regular and reliable attendance is an important part of this position. Scheduling is based on restaurant needs and may include days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. Why iServ?
