Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Location: Paramus, NJ Agency: Prime Staffing Pay: $2,443 per week Shift: Days – 3 days × 12 hours (07:00 - 19:00) Contract Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: 07/20/2026 About the Position Prime Staffing and TravelNurseSource are seeking a qualified Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse for a contract assignment in Paramus, New Jersey. The role involves both inpatient cardiovascular rehabilitation and outpatient cardiac/pulmonary rehabilitation services, providing comprehensive nursing care and patient education. Responsibilities Deliver nursing care to cardiac rehabilitation patients including those post–cardiac intervention, cardiac surgery, heart failure, and stable angina. Monitor patients using telemetry and pulse oximetry in outpatient and inpatient settings. Assist with ambulation, use of walkers, and mobility equipment. Conduct patient teaching on cardiovascular health, medication management, and lifestyle modifications. Perform blood glucose monitoring and manage related interventions. Document nursing assessments and interventions accurately in the charting system. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes. Maintain patient safety and uphold facility protocols. Participate in required medication and clinical management training modules. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree in Nursing; RN license in New Jersey (or a valid NJ/Compact license). Accredited ACLS and BLS certifications. Experience with telemetry monitoring in a cardiac unit. Experience in cardiovascular or pulmonary rehabilitation settings preferred. Strong patient teaching and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Current Nursys application and state license information upon submission. Additional Requirements Proof of full COVID‑19 vaccination series and booster within 14 days of assignment start. Recent supervisory reference (within the last year) required at submission. Preparation to complete a Basic Arrhythmia Exam within 2 business days of acceptance. Benefits Guaranteed weekly pay of $2,443. Travel support and orientation provided.
