About the Role
The Company is seeking a General Manager/Chief Operating Officer to lead its premier golf-centric private club. The successful candidate will be responsible for preserving and maintaining the club's core values and vision, with a focus on operational management, financial stability, and compliance with all regulations. This role demands an engaging leader who can unite and develop a talented team, deliver an exceptional member experience, and uphold the traditions that make the club unique. The GM/COO will work closely with the Board of Directors, serving as a thought partner and ensuring the club's strategic priorities are met. Initial priorities include creating synergy among the leadership team, building trust with the Board and membership, and enhancing the club's golf experience. Candidates for this position should have a minimum of 7-10 years' of executive leadership experience in a private country club or service-focused hospitality environment, with a strong preference for those with a background in the club industry. The role requires a leader with exceptional communication skills, a proven track record in team development, and a deep understanding of the game of golf. A bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management is preferred, and industry certifications are encouraged. The ideal candidate will be a visible, warm, and welcoming presence, with a sincere and effective mentoring style, and a commitment to continuous learning and education.
