Human Resource Assistant Night Shift

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

* Avoids legal challenges by complying with legal requirements. * Maintains strict confidentiality of all employee data and issues arriving at the HR office. * Performs administrative functions of HR, including attendance, payroll, ID badges, etc. * Delivers accurate and timely feedback to employees regarding any inquiries made. * Prepares and processes employee documentation - assists with/prepares correspondence, prepares new employee files, processes mail. * Maintains personnel records (hard copy, HRIS, and electronic); Ensures that information is current. * Helps the HR Department coordinate and organize employee events throughout the year. * Fosters Company culture through constant contact with employees - Intakes and routes employees' issues, escalating problematic issues to higher-level management. * Routes phone calls to the appropriate parties. * Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

* High school diploma. * Minimum of 1 year of experience in Office/HR roles. * Bilingual - Spanish/English preferred. * Knowledge of office administration procedures and computer systems (Word, Excel, Ultipro, and Kronos). * Ability to build and maintain effective relationships. * Effective communication skills, both oral and written; Edits/proofs work for spelling and grammar, presents numerical data effectively, and can read and interpret written information. * Attention to detail in composing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines. * Excellent interpersonal skills - Ability to interface effectively at all levels of the organization. * Planning: organizational and prioritization skills; plans work activities well; uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans; excellent multitasking and scheduling. * Quality: demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality. * Problem-solving: identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully. * Adaptability: Adapts to changes in the work environment; manages competing demands; can deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events; remains open to others' ideas; exhibits willingness to try new things. * Dependability: is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction, and solicits feedback to improve performance. * Safety and security: actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures, and uses equipment and materials properly. * Strong sense of urgency.
