Travel Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer - Sonography/Ultrasound
American Traveler
American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with 3+ years of experience performing general abdominal, OB, and small parts ultrasound studies.
Requirements
- Active state license required if applicable
- ARDMS certification in Abdomen (AB)
- Minimum of 3 years of ultrasound experience required
- Proficiency operating ultrasound units and probes for full range of exams
- Experience with PACS system
- Experience with EPIC EMR
Responsibilities
- Diagnostic imaging department performing general ultrasound exams including abdominal, OB, and small parts studies
- Day shift schedule
- 13-week assignment
- Prepare patients for ultrasound exams and special procedures, ensuring adequate imaging for diagnosis
- Consult with radiologists on exam review prior to patient discharge
- Provide ultrasound guidance for attending physicians during special procedures
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and notify Clinical Engineering as needed
- Verify clinical history, orders, and patient identification using two identifiers
- Send images after hours when required
