Family Law Legal Assistant

Temporary Family Law Legal Assistant Location: San Fernando Valley Compensation: $30-$40 per hour 5 days in office Parking provided Matura Farrington has partnered with a respected law firm seeking an experienced Family Law Legal Assistant to support a busy legal team during a temporary leave of absence. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys providing high-level support to attorneys handling family law matters. Responsibilities Coordinate attorney calendars, meetings, court appearances, and key deadlines. Draft, edit, and proofread legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, and other case-related materials. Maintain organized electronic and physical case files while tracking deadlines and priorities. Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and internal staff. Provide day-to-day administrative support to attorneys, including handling confidential matters. Assist with case organization and general workflow management throughout the life of a matter. Support attorneys with technology, including the use of mobile devices, calendars, email, and productivity applications. Perform additional administrative tasks as needed to support the legal team. Qualifications Approximately 3+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant, with prior family law experience strongly preferred. Experience supporting partners or senior-level attorneys in a law firm environment. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and legal document management systems. Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and other office technology in a professional setting. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
