A family in Brooklyn Heights is seeking an exceptional live-in lead nanny to join their household and work alongside their existing weekday nanny. The family has three young children: a 3-year-old and 9-month-old twins.

The ideal candidate is an experienced, confident caregiver who can take ownership of the children's day-to-day lives, and help keep the household running smoothly. This person should be proactive and highly organized, andflexible as the family's needs change.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional, attentive care for three young children

• Occasionally care for all three children independently, including taking all three out when the other nanny is unavailable.

• Take ownership of the children's daily schedule, routines, activities, and logistics.

• Help create systems and schedules that keep the children and household organized.

• Plan and coordinate age-appropriate activities, outings, and playdates.

• Develop relationships with other local nannies and proactively arrange playdates and social activities.

• Prepare meals and snacks for the children and keep their kitchen/food areas organized.

• Handle occasional meal preparation for the family.

• Straighten up and maintain organization related to the children.

• Work collaboratively with the family's existing weekday nanny and other household support.

• Travel with the family as needed.

• Comfortably care for and interact with the family's small dog.

• Maintain a warm, respectful, and positive presence in the household.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional childcare/nanny experience preferred.

• Demonstrated experience caring for multiple young children, including infants and toddlers.

• Comfortable independently caring for three children when needed.

• Confident, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of the role.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

• Warm, friendly, social personality.

• Strong team mentality and ability to work seamlessly alongside an existing nanny.

• Willing and able to travel with the family.

Schedule: 50hours per week, including one weekend day

Salary: $120,000 annually
