Permanent Exterior Lighting Sales Representative — Door-to-Door

Epic Refresh is a local, veteran-owned company helping North County homeowners transform their properties with professionally installed permanent exterior lighting.

Our premium 48V lighting system is custom-designed for each home and installed in a color-matched track for a clean appearance during the day and beautiful, customizable lighting at night. We also offer Govee permanent-light installations and custom-cut C9 Christmas lighting.

We are hiring a confident, motivated and detail-oriented Door-to-Door Sales Representative to introduce these services to homeowners throughout North County San Diego.

This is not simply a lead-generation position. You will help homeowners understand their options, evaluate their rooflines, take accurate measurements and guide qualified customers toward the right lighting package.

Compensation

This is an uncapped, commission-based opportunity.

• Estimated earnings: $500–$2,500+ per week
• Approximately 5%–10% commission on qualifying self-generated sales
• Higher commission rates for protecting premium pricing
• No artificial earnings cap

• Opportunity to grow into a full-time sales or leadership role

Your primary focus will be our professionally installed premium permanent-lighting system, designed for:

• Elegant everyday architectural lighting
• Holidays and seasonal celebrations
• Birthdays, game days and special events
• Convenient app-controlled scheduling and customization
• A clean, tailored appearance that complements the home

When the premium system is not the right fit, you may also offer:

• Govee permanent exterior-light installations
• Professionally measured and custom-cut C9 Christmas lighting

What You’ll Be Doing

• Conducting door-to-door outreach in selected North County neighborhoods
• Starting friendly, professional conversations with homeowners
• Explaining the differences between our lighting packages
• Identifying the homeowner’s goals, priorities and budget
• Measuring rooflines accurately using approved tools and procedures
• Photographing and documenting proposed installation areas
• Identifying appropriate locations for the controller, power supply and available outlet
• Recognizing roofline transitions, peaks, corners, gaps and installation obstacles
• Creating accurate job details so the correct amount of material can be ordered
• Presenting estimates and closing qualified opportunities
• Recording customer information, measurements and notes in the company system
• Following up with interested homeowners
• Coordinating clean handoffs to the installation team
• Representing Epic Refresh professionally and honestly in the community

Precision Is Mandatory

The sales representative’s measurements determine what we order and how the installation team prepares for each project.

An inaccurate measurement can result in insufficient material, unnecessary waste, installation delays and a poor customer experience. You must be patient enough to verify your work and disciplined enough to follow the measurement process every time.

You do not need to be an electrician, but you must be comfortable learning basic lighting-system concepts, including:

• Low-voltage permanent lighting
• Power-supply and controller placement
• Outlet access
• Roofline measurements
• Cable-routing considerations
• Basic system limitations

A basic understanding of electronics, construction, roofing, exterior home features or technical systems is a strong advantage.

• Equipped with a smartphone and reliable transportation
• Legally authorized to work in the United States

Experience in door-to-door sales, roofing, solar, construction, home improvement, pest control, security systems, landscaping or holiday lighting is helpful—but character, consistency and attention to detail matter most.

This Role Is Not for Someone Who

• Is looking for guaranteed hourly income
• Avoids direct customer interaction
• Becomes discouraged after hearing “no”
• Rushes through measurements or paperwork
• Uses dishonest or high-pressure sales tactics
• Makes promises the company has not approved
• Struggles to work independently

Location

We are based out of Oceanside, California, with field sales throughout North County San Diego, including Oceanside, Carlsbad, Encinitas, Del Mar, San Marcos, Vista and nearby communities.
