Registered Nurse - Infusion in Utica, New York. Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy and other infusions to adult and geriatric patients in the outpatient infusion unit
- Monitor patient responses during infusions, recognize adverse reactions, and escalate emergencies per protocol
- Document care and med administration in the electronic health record (EPIC); coordinate with pharmacy and infusion technology
- Operate infusion devices (Alaris pumps and elastomeric systems); use Omnicell for medication dispensing; communicate needs via Ascom
- Administer blood products when indicated and monitor for transfusion reactions
- Provide patient education on infusion therapies, potential side effects, and discharge instructions

Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of outpatient infusion experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Chemotherapy certification (or chemotherapy training/authorization)
- Proficiency with EPIC, Omnicell, Ascom, and glucometer; experience with Alaris pumps and elastomeric pumps
- Ability to work effectively in an outpatient infusion unit with adult and geriatric patients
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced infusion environment and support patient safety and quality care
