Maintenance WorkerHill Country - Fredericksburg, TX 78624Responsible for general maintenance at Messina Hof Hill Country including the lawn, gardens, and facilities. Mows, pulls weeds, repairs structures, and maintains the interior and exterior of buildings.Essential Functions Statement(s)Hands-on involvement in most facets of grounds operation including mowing, edging, weeding, hedging, garden work, and landscapingRake, mulch, and prune the grounds as neededLandscape by planting flowers, grass, shrubs, and bushesApply pesticide to rid grounds of pests such as mosquitoes, wasps, ticks, and others.Apply fertilizer to grounds to enhance growthSweep walkways of debrisCut down tree limbs that are posing a dangerAssist in painting, cleaning, and other exterior upkeepPerform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in grounds keepingMonitor grounds and keep in pristine conditionAssist in the general interior upkeep of facilities including repairs, cleaning, and preventative or planned maintenancePerform other duties as required, including assisting other departments as neededCompetency Statement(s)Experience in general maintenanceAbility to carry out detailed or oral instructionsPerform frequent manual labor tasks, including lifting, bending, climbing, and other physical activitiesThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
