Travel RN - Med/Surg TeleAmerican TravelerOlympia, Washington, United StatesPosition status: OpenAssignment type: travelShift: NightsLength (weeks): 13Openings: 1Start date: 2026-11-17$2,815.59/week (estimated advertised weekly pay)DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift float position requiring charge experience and WA or compact RN licensure.DetailsFloat role covering Med/Surg and Telemetry units within a short-term acute care hospitalPatient population may include ER boarded patients, telemetry, and med-surg casesNurse to patient ratio varies from 1:4-6 depending on unit acuityNight shift schedule, 4x12 hours, 19:00-07:30Charge responsibilities may apply on smaller units typically staffed with 1-2 RNs supported by LPNs and CNAsFloating required between sister facilities within the systemUses Epic charting systemRequirementsActive WA or compact RN license required in hand at submissionCurrent certifications: BLS required, ACLS and NIHSS preferredMinimum 2 years of RN experience requiredPrevious charge nurse experience requiredExperience working in the US required; Canadian experience alone does not qualifyEpic EMR experience requiredExperience with cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and cardiac monitoringExperience with isolation precautions/PPE and nasal cannula respiratory supportAdditional InformationCore charge duties include managing staffing needs, bed flow, and general unit coordination on smaller unitsMust commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer requests may not be accommodatedCandidates must reside within 50 miles of the facility to be considered for the local rateFormer permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radiusTwo supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years are requiredFirst-time travelers are not preferred for this roleHours per week: 48Hours per shift: 12
