Plasma Center Nurse - LPN

Job Description This role is a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) reporting to the Plasma Center Manager, performing donor eligibility assessments, monitoring donor safety, and supporting clinical operations at a BioLife Plasma Center. Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility and manage informed consent, medical history interview, and physical examination. Review laboratory test results, including serological protein electrophoresis (SPE), and notify donors of unsuitable results. Evaluate and document donor reactions, following SOPs for medical emergencies. Coordinate with the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical guidance. Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and refer to occupational health/EHS as required. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and participate in investigations of pandemic threats. Qualifications High school diploma or graduate equivalent of a recognized nursing program with state requirements. Licensed as LPN or LVN in the state where responsibilities are assigned. Current CPR and AED certification. State requirements for basic IV therapy fulfilled. Completion of FDA-approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialists. Minimum two years of clinical or hospital experience. Compensation and Benefits Hourly wage range: $22.80 – $31.35.
