Senior Tax Analyst

Our client is a market leader in their industry and they wish to hire a Senior Tax Analyst that will be responsible for preparing federal and state tax returns. Responsible for preparing tax filings, maintaining tax records, and ensuring accurate tax payments, while also handling various ad hoc tax projects.

• Tax compliance - Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns, estimated payments, and extensions.
• Provision support - Assist with quarterly and annual tax provision calculations under ASC 740.
• Audit coordination - Support IRS and state audits by gathering documentation, preparing responses, and coordinating with external advisors.
• Tax research - Research tax issues, legislative changes, and emerging regulations; prepare memos and recommendations.
• Process improvement - Identify opportunities to streamline tax workflows, enhance controls, and improve reporting accuracy.
• Cross-functional collaboration - Partner with accounting, FP&A, and business units to ensure tax considerations are incorporated into planning and transactions.
• Special projects - Support tax planning initiatives, M&A due diligence, and corporate restructuring activities as needed..

• Bachelors' Degree in Accounting or relevant discipline
• 3+ years relevant corporate tax dept. or national accounting firm experience
• Strong understanding of tax principles and practical application skills.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics GP) and tax preparation software (ONESOURCE or similar) is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills
