As a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and delivering comprehensive nursing care. Your responsibilities will include direct patient care, patient and family education, and facilitating transitions of care. You will work within a professional nursing practice model, ensuring the highest standards of care are met. Your leadership skills will be utilized in roles such as preceptorship and quality improvement initiatives.

• Coordinate and deliver nursing care for critically ill pediatric patients
• Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff
• Participate in quality improvement efforts and committees
• Ensure compliance with nursing standards and practices
• Floating to other units as needed

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (baccalaureate, associate, or diploma)
• Current RN license by applicable state requirements
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Need 2 years experience in setting
• 1 year of recent travel RN experience required
• 2 years PICU RN experience required
• Experience in Level 1 trauma and intubated patient care
• Solid organ transplant experience strongly preferred
• ECG Exam required during orientation - must PASS to continue assignment
