Medical Director, US Medical Affairs - Neuropsychiatry

- Lead long-range planning, development, and execution of the US medical Omnichannel strategy, tactics, and budget
- Serve as the US Medical expert within Omnichannel medical strategy and lead medical content strategy with HCP segment medical directors
- Act as US Medical contact for key affiliate stakeholders, including Field Medical Teams, Commercial, Market Access, Legal/Compliance, Epidemiology, and Pharmacovigilance
- Develop the US Medical Neuropsychiatry Omnichannel strategy and lead HCP segment projects addressing medical/scientific educational gaps
- Lead the US Medical Neuropsychiatry evidence generation strategy with global medical, HEOR, and alliance partners
- Align processes, systems, and metrics with alliance partners in collaboration with US medical excellence
- Contribute to medical materials including presentations, trainings, medical briefs, and talking points according to DSMR requirements, and manage submission processes
- Present data at Medical Affairs events, advisory boards, trainings, congresses, and medical education events
- Build and nurture relationships with HCPs, healthcare institutions, and advocacy groups in the Neuropsychiatry therapeutic landscape
- Create a positive team climate aligned with Biogen’s culture
Requirements
- MD, PhD, PharmD or comparable advanced degree
- Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience; substitution of industry work with relevant clinical practice experience in Psychiatry may be considered
- Relevant experience in Psychiatry required, specifically mood disorders
- Experience in evidence generation required
- Experience and expertise with digital medical solutions, processes, and systems
- Strong working knowledge of US regulations as relevant to Medical Affairs
- Experience with medical launch as well as products at different stages of the lifecycle
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and collaborate with global, regional and/or affiliate medical teams
- Ability to manage projects and take initiative to solve complex and challenging problems
- Experience managing and developing a team of Medical Affairs professionals

Demonstrates expertise in developing and executing Omnichannel medical strategies, particularly in Neuropsychiatry, while effectively leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects. Strong background in evidence generation and compliance with US medical regulations is essential.
