The Work: This position is located in Hanover, MD. As the Security Manager / Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO)/Facility Security Officer at Lockheed Martin, you’ll safeguard the Sensitive Compartmented Information and warfighting capabilities our citizens and the world depend upon to protect U.S. and global interests. Here, you’ll work alongside other security experts, government civilians and military members to support their military operational objectives by providing them with a safe and secure operating environment. In this fast-paced, real-world environment, you’ll draw on all your experience and education as well as the resources of Lockheed Martin to keep these exquisite capabilities and intelligence protected. Day-to-day Responsibilities: Lead the Security Manager role over a team of 7 Security professionals working multiple contracts. Act as Contractor Special Security Officer and Facility Security Officer. Manage security functions, including organizing and filing all administrative program security paperwork to remain Inspection Ready and compliant with USG regulations. Conduct self-inspections; manage preparations and representation of security inspections and audits by government security personnel. Administer the SCI Nomination Process by processing, logging, and preparing incoming and outgoing SCI Nomination packages. Conduct annual SETA requirements with the programs; provide security indoctrination, debriefings, pre/post travel briefings and annual refresher briefings as necessary. Maintain classified document and media control, including logs of tracking documents in transition. Who we are: RMS Program Security is eager for program security professionals with full-spectrum leadership skills. In support of our customers, stakeholders, and team members, we provide all aspects of security support services such as security management, personnel security (PERSEC), physical security (PHYSEC), security education and training (SETA), access control, media control, construction security management, and more. We seek a Subject Matter Expert (SME) level of understanding of industrial security regulations and procedures, including experience administering provisions of the 32 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 117 NISPOM, DOD 5105.21 Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security Manuals, Intelligence Community Directives (ICD 705 and others), and DOD 5205.07 Special Access Program (SAP) Security Manuals. Basic Qualifications Must have an active TS/SCI clearance and Full Scope Polygraph and the ability to obtain and maintain SCI access. Must have solid Security Management experience as a Contractor Special Security Officer and/or Facility Security Officer. Must have a comprehensive understanding of industrial security regulations and procedures, including experience administering provisions of the 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM; DOD 5105.21 SCI Security Manuals; and/or DOD 5205.07 SAP Security Manuals. Must be team-oriented with the ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast dynamic environment. Must have excellent communication skills, including verbal and written, as well as tact and diplomacy. While mission support is primary Monday-Friday (work week), mission requirements may require after‑hour response and possible weekend work. Desired Skills Comprehensive knowledge of DoD 5105.21, ICD 705, 32 CFR Part 117, and other DoD policy and regulations. Knowledge of Advanced Programs Security requirements, Operations Security (OPSEC), and Program Protection Plans. Experience as Top Secret Control Officer (TSCO) and/or Media Custodian. ICD 705 Physical Security Experience. Successful completion of the Facility Security Officer Certification, or the Contractor Special Security Officer Course, or the CDSE SAP Mid-Level Management Course – preferred or the ability to complete the FSO course within 6 months of appointment. Excellent written, verbal, and customer interface skills. Security Clearance Statement This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level TS/SCI with Polygraph. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full‑time: The work will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five‑day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time Off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off. Pay Rate The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $100,500–$177,215. For states not referenced above, the salary range will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full‑time employees accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full‑time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
