Inpatient Clinical Pharmacist in Utica, NY

An opportunity is available for a dedicated Inpatient Pharmacist to join a hospital setting in Utica, NY. This direct hire role focuses on supporting the pharmacy department's core functions to ensure the safe and effective use of medications for hospitalized patients. The position offers a dynamic schedule with day and afternoon shifts, providing a balanced work routine.


Responsibilities:

• Accurately verify and dispense medications, including proper dosing, labeling, and handling of IV and controlled substances
• Monitor patient medication profiles for potential interactions and allergies, troubleshooting and resolving medication-related issues
• Provide timely drug information and clinical support to healthcare providers to optimize patient care
• Prepare sterile products, including IV admixtures, in compliance with USP guidelines
• Manage medication inventory, maintain regulatory compliance, and ensure a clean and organized pharmacy workspace
• Participate in departmental quality and safety initiatives to support continuous improvement

Qualifications:

• Valid New York State Pharmacist License
• Completion of PGY1 residency or equivalent strong inpatient hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations, medication safety standards, and sterile compounding procedures
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
