Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) registered nurse (RN) position located in Largo, Maryland. This role involves providing high-quality emergency care in a Level I Trauma Center environment. Candidates are required to bring their valid Maryland RN license on the first day of employment. The position entails night shifts from 7:30 PM to 8:00 AM, with a minimum commitment of 36 hours per week.

Job Details:

• Position: Emergency Room RN (Night Shift)
• Location: Largo, Maryland
• Shift Schedule: 3x12 Night shifts (19:30-08:00), minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications:
  • Active Maryland RN license
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI, TNCC
  • EMR: EPIC charting system experience
  • 3 years of experience in emergency or trauma settings, travel experience required but will consider first-time travelers with 5+ years of experience
  • Clinical experience managing a patient ratio of 4:1 in an emergency environment
  • Experience with trauma level I or level II facilities preferred
  • Ability to manage a wide array of emergency conditions including trauma, stroke, respiratory issues, and cardiac emergencies
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous charge nurse experience
  • Experience in community hospital and LTAC settings
  • Experience with pediatric emergency care and neuro-trauma
• Additional Information:
  • Days per week coverage includes every other weekend and scheduled holidays
  • Floating within the ED as needed; no restrictions or special requests
  • Experience with various critical care skills and procedures listed in the qualifications section
  • Vaccinations: Flu vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccine not required
