Talent Acquisition Assistant

Our client, a luxury retail brand, is seeking a Temporary Talent Acquisition Assistant in NYC to support high-volume recruiting and hiring initiatives across North America. This is hybrid role (4 day-per-week in-office). This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career recruiting professional looking to gain hands-on experience in talent acquisition while partnering closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and business leaders. Responsibilities Source and identify candidates through online recruiting platforms and talent databases Conduct initial candidate screenings and assess qualifications Coordinate interviews and manage scheduling across multiple stakeholders Post and maintain job openings across various recruiting channels Support pre-employment and onboarding activities, including background check processes Assist with candidate outreach, talent pipelining, and LinkedIn sourcing efforts Maintain recruitment data, candidate records, and hiring workflows within ATS systems Partner with hiring managers and recruiters to keep searches moving efficiently Provide administrative support throughout the full recruitment lifecycle Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience Qualifications Internship experience or 1+ year of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, human resources, or a related field Strong interest in building a career within recruiting and talent acquisition Experience sourcing candidates and supporting interview coordination preferred Professional communication skills with the confidence to interact with business leaders and senior stakeholders Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills Proficiency with LinkedIn, applicant tracking systems, and Microsoft Office preferred Positive, professional, and team-oriented mindset with a strong sense of urgency and accountability Compensation $28 - $30/hr The description above is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed and is not an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities, and qualifications required.
