Bright Futures Psychiatry is expanding again and looking for two passionate onsite Clinical Assistants to join our team. We are a 100% PMHNP female owned practice, founded by an Air Force Veteran , and located in the beautiful Broadmoor area of Colorado Springs . What You’ll Do: Clinical Responsibilities Welcome, receive, and prepare clients for appointments and procedures. Conduct client interviews, measure and record vital signs, and document client information into the electronic health record (EHR). Collect and prepare laboratory specimens in accordance with established protocols. Assist with medication reviews, prior authorization and referral processes and ensure the timely flow of client care. Maintains workstations, client rooms, and examination areas in a manner consistent with OSHA standards and Universal Precautions procedures. Ensure compliance with clinical documentation standards, maintaining timely and accurate records in the EHR. Participates in continuing education to continually improve skills and abilities and stays abreast of current technologies and practices. Maintain all applicable certifications (ex. BLS). Apply safety principles as per organizational policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with legal issues- including but not limited to client confidentiality and risk management according to federal, state, and local regulations. Adjusts to fluctuating peaks in client flow, acuity, and other operation demands while maintaining quality high-quality care delivery. Administrative Responsibilities Demonstrate excellent communication skills with all team members and assist as needed to ensure a smooth operation. Receive and screen phone calls, answer client inquiries, and route messages appropriately. Schedule client appointments and manage the client flow within the office. Maintain accurate office and department records. Utilize EHR, phone systems, and other necessary technology tools to enhance clinic operations. Monitor and manage medical supplies inventory, ordering replacements when necessary. Other Duties Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times. Be punctual and reliable, showing commitment to working as part of a team. Assist team members and the office as needed, offering flexibility in support of colleagues. Must possess good judgment, attention to detail, and ability to make sound decisions. Strong organizational skills and flexibility to handle shifting priorities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality. Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Demands and Work Environment Frequently required to stand. Frequently required to walk. Frequently required to sit or utilize a combination of sit/stand workstations. Frequent use of hand and finger dexterity. Occasionally required to balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crawl. Continuous verbal communication and auditory tasks. Occasional exposure to bloodborne and airborne pathogens or infectious materials. Moderate noise levels in the work environment. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Equipment used: Computers, copiers, and other standard office devices.
