OPS ADVANCED PRACTICE REGISTERED NURSE - 64858203This is an OPS (Other Personnel Services) Advanced Practice Registered Nurse position working with the Lee County Department of Health. Your specific responsibilities include providing clinical care for clients at Lee CHD sites, assessing and treating acute health conditions, and managing reproductive health visits, STD assessments, and contraceptive counseling. The position requires confidentiality, security, privacy, and integrity of protected health information. Incumbent may be required to work before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days. Evening clinic and weekend outreach events may be required.Required knowledge, skills, and abilities include knowledge of nursing principles, practices, techniques & procedures, human anatomy and physiology, correct spelling, punctuation & grammar usage, performing uncomplicated surgical procedures, operating a personal computer, administering prescribed medications, performing complete physical appraisals of patients, identifying and evaluating illnesses, initiating diagnostic laboratory tests and evaluating the results, managing the care of patients, working with patients having a variety of physical problems, compiling and evaluating medical histories and other clinical and laboratory data, planning, organizing and coordinating work assignments, operating general office equipment, following office procedures & practices, organizing and maintaining filing systems, handling telephone calls in a courteous & effective manner, communicating effectively verbally & in writing, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others, understanding, interpreting & applying applicable rules, regulations, policies & procedures, prioritizing individual workload, bending, kneeling, reaching, and sitting or standing for long periods of time, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds as needed, using telephone, computer, copier and small hand tools, working indoors with occasional temperature changes, locating information that is listed alphabetically & numerically, following instructions, reviewing data for accuracy & completeness, and working independently or with minimal supervision.Minimum qualifications include certification as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in accordance with Florida Statute 464.
