Our Commissioning practice within the Advisory Solutions group consists of architects and engineers providing specialized services to support our clients and projects. As a Commissioning & Energy Expert, you will engage in both onsite and office activities to support a range of Commissioning and Energy projects. In this role, you will take the lead in all commissioning-related activities, which include testing (QA/QC, Functional Performance) and equipment & systems start-up, ensuring a safe and functional environment that aligns with design requirements and stakeholder expectations. You will work on diverse projects, including commissioning for new construction, renovations, existing building commissioning, and asset management initiatives. You will collaborate directly with Jacobs clients, project stakeholders, and contractors to ensure optimal outcomes focused on operational performance and efficiency. Additionally, you will be involved in energy projects that include audits, efficiency studies, and renewable energy developments aimed at boosting performance for clients. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in commissioning, design, or construction management with a focus on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or building envelope systems. Familiarity with building code requirements. US Citizenship is required. Ability to travel up to 50%, which may include multi-week field assignments and possible long-term assignments. Ideally, you'll also have: Knowledge of mechanical, electrical or building envelope systems. Understanding of the construction process. Experience in mission critical/data center construction and/or operations. Industry-recognized commissioning certification. Professional Engineer licensure or Engineer-In-Training Certification.
