Job Description The Service Advisor is the primary link between customers and technicians. They listen to customer concerns, recommend appropriate repairs, schedule service, and manage expectations throughout the repair process. They ensure that all repairs are completed with quality control, provide timely updates to customers, and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of vehicle warranties, state laws, and technical service bulletins. Responsibilities Schedule service for customers either in person or on the phone, ensuring a prompt and accurate diagnosis of any problems. Follow up on the status of repairs to ensure the vehicle is ready when promised; inform customers in advance when a vehicle cannot be ready at the promised time and obtain authorization from customers when repair estimates are revised. Makes repair recommendations and manages delivery by setting and managing customer expectations. Ensures that all completed repairs have passed quality control and/or a road test. Maintains current knowledge of vehicle operation, warranties, campaigns, and other service information, including state lemon laws and Technical Service Bulletins (TSB). Ensures all service level targets are met or exceeded. Ensures that required documentation is complete and compliant with regulations and standards. Complies with and enforces all safety policies and procedures. Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. One year of dealer‑level or large facility experience (preferred). Valid and unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record. Professional demeanor and dependable work ethic. Safety and customer‑service orientation. Basic computer and internet skills. Outstanding communication skills. Professional appearance.
