Continuous Improvement Engineer

The Judge Group

A manufacturing facility is looking for a hands-on Continuous Improvement Engineer to lead efficiency, quality, and safety improvements across production operations.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze production processes and identify improvement opportunities on the floor
Use CAD tools to optimize layouts and material flow
Conduct time studies, work sampling, and line balancing
Lead daily improvement routines and track KPIs
Drive root-cause analysis using 5-Why, Fishbone, and A3
Develop standard work, visual controls, and documentation
Build dashboards and reports (Excel, Tableau)
Support 5S, safety, quality, and cost-reduction initiatives
Train teams on continuous improvement methods

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or related Engineering field preferred
3+ years of experience in continuous improvement or industrial engineering in manufacturing
Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
Experience in an industrial environment is preferred (mixing/compounding is a plus)
Proficiency in Excel and CAD (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.)
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Comfortable working directly on the production floor
