Compensation: $34.21 $37.89/hr + $0.30 Shift Differential

Shift: 1st Shift Training (90 days); transitions to 2nd Shift (MonFri, 3 PM 11 PM)

Environment: Union Facility; Fast-paced Packaging/Printing

The Role

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be the backbone of our facility's reliability. You will perform a mix of technical preventive maintenance on production equipment and general facility upkeep to ensure we remain SQF and GMP compliant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facility Upkeep: Perform PMs on air compressors, chill water pumps, and HVAC filters. Handle general repairs, including lighting, plumbing leaks, and painting.

• Production Support: Assist Craftsmen with preventive maintenance on high-speed packaging machinery.

• Compliance & Safety: Lead janitorial readiness for SQF audits; manage hazardous/non-hazardous waste disposal in coordination with the HSE Manager.

• Environmental Inspections: Conduct routine regulatory inspections to support safety and environmental programs.

• General Logistics: Pick up parts from local vendors and package items for external repair.

Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in industrial plant maintenance, electrical work, or mechanical repair.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency with voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and power tools (welder, drills, saws).

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Compliance: Ability to follow strict GMP, 5S, and Food Safety policies.

• Physical/Schedule: Must be comfortable working in noisy or temperature-variable environments. Ability to work overtime and weekends is required.

Preferred "Bonus" Skills:

• Experience in the Consumer Packaging or Printing industries.

• Familiarity with equipment brands such as KBA, Komori, Bobst, or Jagenburg.

• Prior experience with Environmental/HSE compliance.
