Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using a combination of standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Create tailored treatment plans targeting both short-term and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions focusing on enhancing language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, and family caregivers, to devise comprehensive care plans.
• Provide educational support to patients and families, ensuring progress continues even outside of therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional evaluations and speech therapy sessions within inpatient settings, promoting seamless care transitions throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Ensure all documentation is accurate and timely, adhering to state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay informed about advancements within the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for candidates not yet receiving ASHA certification.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be completed within 30 days of hire.
