Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic emergency department team. This position offers the opportunity to provide excellent patient care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring quality outcomes for our diverse patient population.

Position Information

• Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Specialty: Emergency Department
• Number of Openings: 2
• Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
• Call Requirements: None
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 16
• Patient Ratios: Typically 5:1, may increase to full capacity
• Equipment: EKG, Ultrasound, LUCAS, EZ-IO, Omnicell, stretcher, wheelchair, Medtronic
• EHR: MediTech
• Supervisor: Michelle Bush
• Patient Population: Geriatric, adult, pediatrics, OB

Responsibilities

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for:

• Conducting thorough patient assessments and identifying patient needs.
• Initiating and implementing appropriate nursing interventions.
• Providing care that is suitable for the patient's condition and age.
• Documenting care accurately and in a timely manner in the medical record.

Qualifications

• Education: Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Experience: Previous experience in an emergency department is preferred but not required.
• Skills: Strong patient assessment skills, ability to work collaboratively in a team, and effective communication skills.

Dress Code

Required attire includes solid color scrub tops and pants. Unacceptable attire includes ill-fitting scrubs, low-cut tops, mid-drift revealing clothing, and hoodies.
