Pastry Sous Chef
Scarpetta Nomad is seeking a skilled Pastry Sous Chef to join our team in New York. The Pastry Sous Chef will assist in the preparation and production of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience working as a Pastry Chef or Pastry Sous Chef
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and flavors
- Ability to manage and lead a team effectively
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Creativity and passion for creating visually appealing and delicious pastries
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, preparing, and executing a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods
- Oversee the pastry kitchen operations and ensure quality and consistency in all products
- Train and mentor pastry team members
- Maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
Additional Requirements:
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Compensation: Salary ($68,000.00 - $70,000.00)
