Overview
Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D) in Templeton, California. Travel assignment starting 10/12/2026 for 13 weeks. Earn $2,350–$2,445 per week with 36 guaranteed hours. Night shift, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, rotating schedule, in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital.

Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care for obstetric patients across labor, delivery, and postpartum, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation; coordinate care with the health care team.
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, perform fetal heart monitoring, respond to distress, and administer medications and analgesia per policy and physician orders.
- Assist with labor and delivery, including vaginal births and cesarean sections, and provide newborn care and family education postpartum.
- Document care and interventions in the electronic medical record (EPIC), communicate with physicians, midwives, and support staff, and participate in handoffs and care planning.
- Work within the Labor-Delivery-Recovery-Postpartum (LDRP) care model, uphold patient- and family-centered care, and participate in committees as applicable; no on-call requirement.

Requirements
- Current California RN license in good standing
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing
- Minimum two years of recent RN experience in labor and delivery or related acute care; LDRP model experience preferred
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required; NRP and ACLS to be obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required; AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course required for novices during first 6–8 months of orientation, then Advanced Fetal Monitoring every two years
- EPIC experience
