The position is also responsible for verifying all incoming and outgoing shipments.Essential Duties/ResponsibilitiesVerifies and records incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipmentCompares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items for incoming and outgoing shipments. Verify information against bill of lading, invoices and sales ordersVisually examines incoming shipments, documents damages or shortages to shipment and receives PO based on visual inspection freight and items listed on packing listRoutes items to departmentsMaintains inventory of shipping materials and suppliesOperate lift truck or use hand-truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work areaGeneral upkeep of shipping area, keeping floor and areas always clear of debrisMaintains in-process inventory at work areas by delivering and opening materials and suppliesReceives and verifies materials and supplies from production for placing back into inventoryWork with team to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issuesMaintains equipment by completing pre-use inspections and submitting fix tickets as neededAssisting in performing cycle counting duties.Fosters a culture that values family, innovation, collaboration and empowermentFollows all safety and workplace policiesCompetencies and SkillsFamiliar with WMS/inventory softwareProcess-oriented with excellent attention to detail in a fast paced, high stress environmentExcellent communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructionsAbility to work independently and on a team with limited supervisionAbility to handle multiple tasks along with excellent time management skillsFlexibility to work across multiple operations including packing, assembly and productionAbility to demonstrate and apply PD's workplace valuesFlexibility to travel between multiple PD locationsDemonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environmentEducation/CertificationMinimum of 3 years forklift experience with certification or capacity to gain certificationHigh School Diploma/GED and 1-3 years Manufacturing, Inventory Control or Logistics experienceExperience1-3 years' experience in assembly, packaging or manufacturing environmentKnowledge or experience with inventory control systems information systemsGeneral usage of, Outlook, Excel, Word ProcessingPhysical Requirements and Working ConditionsWalking, sitting, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling and lifting may be required throughout the workdayWork in a warehouse environment with other department staffAbility to stand for extended periods of timeMust be willing to work at all Solid locations if needed
