As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a higher education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming campus environment. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with students, staff, and visitors, and respond to routine concerns with professionalism. Pay Rate: $20.40 - $21.40 / Hour
Job Schedule:

- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate campus contacts and/or emergency responders.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, observe activity throughout assigned areas, and report suspicious activity, hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
- Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain required activity logs while communicating professionally with the campus community.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
