Heyl, Royster, Voelker & Allen, P.C. , is a large, fast-paced law firm seeking a motivated, organized, and reliable individual for a full-time Accounting/Billing Clerk position in our Peoria office.

A DAY IN THE LIFE AS AN ACCOUNTING/BILLING CLERK

• As an Accounting/Billing Clerk, you will independently manage various accounting area processes using accounting software, billing sites, and other programs.
• You will reliably and accurately handle billing for several office locations and vendors.
• You will spend most of your time independently managing billing using accounting software and other programs.
• You will excel in generating invoices through client billing sites, by email and by mail while adhering to client guidelines and departmental procedure.

QUALIFICATIONS TO BE AN ACCOUNTING/BILLING CLERK

• Associate degree in accounting and prior accounting experience preferred
• Previous work experience as an Accounting Clerk with a focus on billing
• Exceptional computer skills working with Microsoft Office
• Must have hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
• Excellent understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
• Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Outstanding degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Despite a fast pace and short timeframes, you excel and are efficient and thorough with multiple large volume tasks. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills to help improve processes and documentation to minimize errors.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range is $17. to $21. an hour. The salary offered will take into account several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications/credentials, talent availability and specialization, as well as business needs. The range may be modified in the future.
