Transmission Planning Engineer
Virtual Vocations Inc
To support a growing Electrical Studies, SCADA, and Protection team, the full-time salaried Transmission Planning Engineer will perform transmission planning studies, manage multiple projects, and collaborate with engineers and clients, with opportunities for remote work available. Key responsibilities Perform or lead transmission planning studies, including power flow and contingency analysis Execute project tasks in accordance with established scope, schedule, and budget requirements Collaborate with and mentor junior engineers to support the development of transmission planning teams Required qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience Engineer in Training Certification 7 to 10 years of experience in steady state contingency analysis and stability analysis of large power systems Hands-on experience with power system software packages such as PSS/E, PSLF, and PowerWorld Ability to work successfully in a dynamic team environment focused on customer needs
