This role is perfect for someone who values independence, variety in daily locations, and the ability to deliver high-quality diagnostic care without the fast pace or interruptions of a hospital setting. You'll have the time and space to connect meaningfully with patients who are homebound or in long-term care environments.Key ResponsibilitiesUltrasound Exams & Patient CarePerform high-quality general and vascular ultrasound exams in homes and care facilitiesPrepare, position, and support patients with clear and compassionate communicationRecognize abnormal or urgent findings and notify appropriate providers promptlyTechnical & Equipment DutiesOperate, maintain, and troubleshoot portable ultrasound machinesEnsure studies meet diagnostic standards and upload exams to PACS accuratelyDocumentationWrite clear, concise technical impressions for all completed scansMaintain accurate patient and exam recordsWork independently in a mobile imaging capacity across a defined geographic areaManage daily schedules and adapt to patient needs and location changesQualificationsValid driver's license, insurance, and reliable transportation(Company vehicle provided after onboarding)1+ year ultrasound experience (2–3 years preferred)ARDMS certification in Abdomen and/or Vascular preferred (RDMS, RVT)Proficiency in general and vascular ultrasoundAbility to write accurate technical impressionsComfortable in field-based/mobile settingsPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, bend, walk, and scan for extended periodsAbility to drive up to ~200+ miles/day, depending on routeAbility to lift/move up to 40 lbs (equipment)Strong attention to detail and ability to work independentlyAbout Principle ImagingPrinciple Imaging is part of Principle Health Systems, a Houston-based healthcare organization focused on expanding access to patient-centered medical services.
