Histology Associate

Job Title : Histology Associate
Location : Oro Valley, AZ
Work Model : Onsite
Hours : 1st Shift hours, Mon-Fri from 7:30-4:00pm. OT is available, but not required.
Compensation : $25.00 - $27.00/hr
Type : 12-month contract, Potential for extension or conversion to permanent

Responsibilities

• Prepare tissue samples for microscopic examination
• Operate and maintain histology laboratory equipment
• Ensure quality control and compliance with laboratory standards
• Assist pathologists with specimen analysis and embedding tissue's while standing throughout the working hours
• Follow safety protocols and regulatory guidelines

Requirements

• Highschool diploma or GED is required
• 0-5 years of experience
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication abilities
• Knowledge of industry best practices

• Well suited candidates are quick learners and self-starters
• Histotechnician or Histotechnologist certification preferred
• Previous lab experience preferred
